April 29 update: Nevada County COVID-19 cases rise by 12
April 29 County officials recorded 12 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, making the new total case count 4,582. Western county has reached 3,341 cases, and eastern county has 1,241. There were 108 active cases on Thursday, unchanged from the day before. There were 4,399 people released from isolation, and 75 deaths. Nevada County vaccine rollout to residents 75+ ’will take time’
Last week, the county announced that vaccine access would begin for residents 75 and older. Initially this was a process they said that “will take time” as vaccine supplies remain extremely limited. Officials estimate that there are approximately 13,000 Nevada County residents who are 75 and older. COVID: Nevada County not ready for eased restrictions
Nevada County’s COVID-19 risk level data once again stalled following moderate improvements the previous week and is not ready for eased restrictions. Case rate and positivity statistics increased, going from 20.8 new cases per day to 26.3 and 7% to 7.3% positivity for the week starting Jan. 17. Nevada County has 3,420 total COVID-19 cases
Jan. 27 The county’s COVID-19 case load rose to 3,420 on Wednesday, an increase of 26 from the prior day. Western county has reached 2,413 cases, and eastern county has 1,007. There were 567 active cases on Wednesday, a rise of 15 from the day before. There have been 2,780 people released from isolation, and 73 deaths.
