The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe is proud to announce the grand opening of its South Lake Tahoe office.
The new location, which will have its grand opening on Dec. 10, will help the nonprofit provide the best care and resources for pets and owners across the entire Lake Tahoe region. The humane society began providing services in South Lake Tahoe in January and has already helped almost 100 local residents get their pets sterilized. They’ve also held two microchip and vaccination clinics, providing free vaccines, microchips and wellness checks to community members. The humane society will offer these clinics quarterly in 2020.
“The (Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe) offers a wide array of important services and community assistance, including low-cost spay and neuter procedures, but we cannot do it alone,” said Stephanie Nistler, Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe’s executive director.
The organization is actively recruiting volunteers and seeking donations. All money donated will go directly toward helping animals in the South Lake community and maintaining important programs such as:
Low cost spay/neuter services for dogs and cats
Free Pitbull/Chihuahua Spay & Neuter
Free Vaccination & Microchip Clinics
Pet Pantry offering free pet food to community members in need
Pet assisted therapy
Community Cat-Trap, Neuter, Return
Humane Education
Pet Adoptions
