The Firecracker Mile is a long standing Truckee tradition so you can get in a bit of cardio burst before chilling out for the parade and a sun filled day of barbecues, beer, and beach play while waiting for the grand finale – the fireworks.

Location: Starts at the Truckee Tahoe Unified School District Office and winds down Donner Pass Road to Historical Downtown Truckee, end at the corner of Bridge and Church Street.
Note the road will be closed to traffic from 9:30 am until after completion of the parade.

Free red white and blue decorations will be available in front of Mine Children’s Store to decorate your bike, scooter, or stroller. Kids can decorate, get their face painted and meet local first responders before the parade starts.

Tahoe Donner’s biggest event of the year returns Friday and Saturday, July 5 and 6, 2019 featuring two nights of performances by today’s top tribute bands.
